Hello TYG followers! If you don’t already know, this year we are honored and proud to be the Official Real Estate Sponsor for the 2019 Richmond Homearama. Between its four builders – HHHunt Homes, Legault, LifeStyle, and Schell Brothers – the show features five single family homes and two townhomes. Located in Glen Allen’s River Mill, this neighborhood is the first active and fit certified RVA community. This year, HHHunt stole the show – literally – with 3 stunning homes in Homearama – including one house and two townhomes. The house is modeled from their floorplan The Morgan, which features four bedrooms, three and a half baths, 3,234 square feet, and a two car garage. The Morgan includes a covered porch with outdoor fireplace and kitchen; as well as a basement that has a bar, a wine room and an exclusive virtual reality gaming room. Within the garage, you can find a basketball court with hand painted walls of an audience with the representation all of the local schools and universities in Virginia. You can also enjoy the convenience of smart home technology, which includes Alexa controlled lighting, sound, security, and a digital shower. One of HHHunt’s townhomes, The Woodbury, features smart home technology as well. The Woodbury is a two story, three bedroom, two and a half bath townhome at 1,517 square feet with metal and glass interior finishings and a one-car alley-load garage. The second townhome, The Hudson, is a larger two story with three bedrooms and two and a half baths at 2,418 square feet with a two-car alley-load garage. Inside this particular model is an owner’s suite with a luxurious master bath.
Tied in second with the most amount of homes built in the show are the Schell Brothers, with their two models, the Bluebell and the Lilac. The Bluebell features four bedrooms, four baths, 2,811 square feet, and a two-car garage. Once you enter the home, your eye goes straight to the two-story vaulted great room with ceiling to floor windows to show the outdoor courtyard – which features an entrance to the first floor master bedroom as well. If your eyes happen to be directed to the right when you enter (which is easy to do when you are taking in the beautiful amenities of the home) you will find a unique addition to the laundry room. Placed in the corner is the home’s own dog washing station with animated dog wallpaper around the room. But don’t worry; if you don’t have a dog, we’re sure you could turn it into another shower. One house over, you can find the 2,848 square foot Lilac model with four bedrooms, three and a half baths and a two-car garage. Not only does the Lilac have a front porch, but a second level balcony as well. Another unique addition to the home is the first and second floor master bedrooms – so if you want more than one, then the Lilac is for you! The stairwell inside has a few special features all on its own – including space underneath for either storage or a secret hideaway, as well as room for a relaxation nook against a window. From the window you can view the tiered outdoor courtyard with a grilling area and fireplace.
Next on the list is the LeGault Homes model of The Maison Reve, which is French for “The Dream House” – oo la la! This 3,756 square foot Maison Reve is one Homearama masterpiece that differs from the rest of this year’s homes with four bedrooms, three and a half baths and a two-car garage. Inside the home are disappearing pocket doors from the front to the back, which allows the home to have open space flow in and out. There is also a custom kitchen with True Appliances & a Soirée Beverage Center. The master bath features a cement custom tub and floor to ceiling tile design. Another thing that this smart home features is Control 4, motorized screens, Sonos technology, lighting and thermostat control, alarm functions and much more!
Last but not least, this year’s Lifestyle home is styled after their model called The Olivia. At the end of the street, you can find this “hidden” gem (emphasis on gem) at 3,728 square feet with four bedrooms, three and a half baths and a two-car garage. The main attractions in this home feature a grand family room with a see-thru fireplace and two spacious entertaining areas. There is a covered screened porch with retractable screens as well as an outdoor Paver patio and fireplace. Like most of the other homes in the show, this model is designed to be a Smart Home with Alexa enabled features throughout. However, unlike the other houses, the Olivia has a designated yoga retreat space on the third floor with a bonus theatre and media room on the second.
